The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) is all geared up for the upcoming 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly elections, said NCP national secretary Narendra Verma in Imphal on Saturday.
Narendra said that since the BJP came into power, common people are facing numerous issues regarding the increase of prices in essential commodities and unemployment. The BJP-led government is a failure both in the state and the Centre.
He continued that the people of Manipur are fed up with the BJP government and want to bring change in the governance.
To accomplish the wish of the people, NCP will put maximum effort and go with a like-minded party in the upcoming election.
He also said that BJP’s oldest allies such as the Shiv Sena and the Akali Dal have stopped supporting the party. Their leaving from the BJP is highly questionable, he added.
He pointed out that people of Manipur did not give their maximum support to the BJP to form the government. However, with manipulation, the party formed the government.
