In accordance with the timeline set by the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), the Manipur State Legal Services Authority, along with District Legal Services Authorities, will be organising the National Lok Adalat on May 11, 2024.
The event is scheduled to take place at the Lamphelpat Court Complex and across all District Courts in Manipur.
The primary objective of the National Lok Adalat is to expedite the disposal of various types of cases pending before the courts, as well as pre-litigation matters.
During the National Lok Adalat, cases pertaining to section 138 of the Negotiable Instrument Act, bank recovery, electricity and water bills, motor accident claims, matrimonial disputes, revenue cases, and criminal compoundable offences will be taken up.
