The indefinite bandh imposed on National Highway-37 by the All Jiribam Road Transport Driver’s Union (AJRTDU), All Manipur Roads Transport Driver’s and Motor Workers Union, Khongsai Hills Diver Union, and Oinamlong Driver Union has been temporarily withdrawn till August 25.

The organisations on Wednesday called the indefinite bandh at the NH-37 from August 20 onwards as a mark of protest against the alleged negligence of the authorities concerned regarding the demands for the repair of the highway.

Speaking on the sidelines of the inspection, AJRTDU president M Tombabu Singh said that since the repair of the road is underway, the joint organisations will withdraw the indefinite bandh till August 25.
