Superintendent of Police Traffic Control Police Wing, Wungpam Kasar on Friday notified about traffic diversions and alternative routes in connection with the upcoming National Cleanliness Day to be observed at Gandhi Memorial Hall, Imphal West on Monday.
As per the notice, all vehicles coming from Keishampat towards Western gate Kangla will be diverted from Nityapat Chuthek and proceed towards GPO (General Post Office)/Sanjenthong bridge.
Meanwhile, all vehicles coming from North AOC towards LIC Crossing will be diverted from LIC Crossing towards Khoyathong, it said. The notice also stated that all vehicles coming from MG Avenue towards Western Gate will be diverted towards LIC Crossing from Old Power House.
It further said that all vehicles coming from Sanjenthong Bridge/ GPO (General Post Office) towards Western Gate Kangia will be diverted from Nityapat Chuthek towards Keishampat, while vehicles coming towards Western Gate of Kangla from Uripok side will be diverted towards Nagamapal.
The measures have been taken in the interest and safety of the general public and the diversion will take place from 7 am until the function is over, it added.
