The Naga Women’s Union (NWU) on Monday vehemently condemned the bomb attack which was carried out at the office of the chief medical officer, District Headquarter, Senapati on Friday night.
In a release, the Union decried the “unprincipled and amoral” act, stating that the incident has jeopardized the town.
A situation like this never pays off any humanistic goals other than bringing terror to citizens and chaos to the public which is the only intent of terrorism, NWU stated.
“Using of bombs and other explosive devices is never in our culture since time immemorial, and we urge not to pursue such activities in our land,” it stated.
It maintained that if the only home of the sick and needy person is being attacked, this land is not safe anymore.
The Union further demanded those behind the attack to claim responsibility and appealed to the authority concerned to take a serious probe and book the culprits involved.
