MSPDCL, in a release, urged the people to recharge their prepaid on time and clear all outstanding postpaid recharge, stating that the electricity provided to the people is being purchased from CPSU power companies as the state has no power generator.

It maintained that although there is a decline in revenue, consumption of electricity remains the same as before. It highlighted the daunting challenge facing the company in ensuring uninterrupted power supply to all households including the relief camps especially now that the revenue has declined.
