The Brahma Kumaris of Manipur, led by its state in-charge, Kumari BK Nilima along with five others called on Manipur Governor Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhavan, Imphal on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the team extended an invitation to the Governor for the upcoming Universal Conclave to be organised in Raj Bhavan as part of the Viksit Bharat program, stated a release.
They also briefed her on the activities taken up for the IDPs seeking refuge in various relief camps and further suggested a project on meditation training and stress management for the IDPs, it stated.
Governor Uikey assured assistance from Raj Bhavan and urged the team to give updates on upcoming activities/programs for the people in relief camps.
Meanwhile, chairman of Manipur Public Service Commission, SK Dev Verman also called on Governor Anusuiya Uikey and informed her of the activities taken up by the Commission, it stated. She also encouraged the newly appointed chairman to execute his duty diligently in the interest of the public, it added.
