As part of the initiatives taken by the government to ensure a clean and healthy environment, MAHUD Department will conduct a cleanliness drive on NONGMA PANBA NUMIT each month with involvement of all stakeholder departments/offices concerned.
Chief Secretary, Government of Manipur, Vineet Joshi in a latest notification issued by orders and in the name of the Governor on Tuesday, stated that the same will be conducted in addition to the daily cleaning tasks being undertaken in all the 27 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) of the state.
The statement also said that the MAHUD Commissioner will issue instructions to the Director, MAHUD and all Executive Officers of the Department posted in respective ULBs to coordinate with the concerned Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police and other offices in implementing the above on a monthly basis.
The notice is issued in compliance with UO No 1/24/2024-CM dated May 20 of Secretary to Chief Minister, Government of Manipur, it added.
