Mobile legal awareness campaign held

A mobile legal awareness campaign using vans were conducted in Chandel and Tengnoupal districts on Thursday and Friday by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Chandel under the aegis of National Legal Services Authority (NLSA) as a part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and in connection with Pan India Legal Awareness and Outreach Campaign.

The mobile awareness campaign through the van covered around 30 villages of the two districts, stated a release. As a part of the legal awareness campaign, pamphlets containing information on free legal aid, services and the helpline numbers of Legal Services Institutions in the state were distributed and made aware to the local populace of the villages, it stated. Around 950 beneficiaries were interacted and sensitised by the legal awareness campaign through the mobile van, it mentioned.

The legal awareness campaign began on Friday from the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court Complex, Chandel and concluded on Saturday.
