MLA Kh Raghumani Singh resigns as MANIREDA chairman

Days after, BJP MLA Paonam Brojen resigned from chairmanship of Manipur Development Society, citing personal reason, another MLA Kh Raghumani Singh on Monday tendered his resignation from the post of Manipur Renewable Energy Development Agency (MANIREDA) chairman.

"For personal reasons and also in the public interest, it is felt that my continuance as chairman/MANIREDA is not called for, at this juncture. Therefore, I hereby tender my resignation from the said post of chairman and the same may kindly be accepted," Uripok AC MLA Kh Raghumani Singh, who is also the chairman of MANIREDA wrote in this resignation letter submitted to  Chief Minister N Biren Singh.

Four BJP MLAS, including Kh Raghumani Singh, Paonam Brojen, Karam Shyam and Th Radheshyam, have so far tendered their resignation from their respective posts. 

Following the recent resignation of BJP MLAs Th Radheshyam, Karam Shyam and Paonam Brojen from their respective posts, the state BJP has called a high level party meeting on Friday April 21 at 11 am in state BJP office to discuss the latest developments.

Both Th Radheshyam and Karam Shyam were both Cabinet ministers in the previous BJP led government under Chief Minister N Biren Singh till they were shunted out in a mid-term reshuffle.

The three MLAs cited certain grievances with the present Chief Minister N Biren Singh in video clips released in the social media.
