Missing man found dead in Imphal West

The man had gone missing since December 20.

A man, who had gone missing since December 20 was found dead at Tumbirok, which is located between Sekmai and Leikinthabi under Sekmai Police Station, Imphal West around 2.50 pm Friday, police said.  

The deceased has been identified as one Achom Henary, 36, son of A Dhanachandra from Thangmeiband Polem Leikai, Imphal West.  

Henary and his father were reportedly living at a farm house in Awang Leikinthabi, Imphal West. The farmhouse reportedly belonged to Thangmeiband assembly constituency MLA Kh Joykisan.

A missing person report was lodged at Sekmai Police Station on December 21. The body was kept at RIMS Mortuary after being examined by the State Forensic Science Laboratory team, police said.
