A miscreant attempted to rob an ATM located at Kwakeithel Bazar under Singjamei Police Station, Imphal West around 2 am Monday, sources said. 

The man wearing a mask and a hooded flannel shirt failed in his bid to pry open the ATM machine. Police chased him, but he managed to flee towards Kwakeithel Thokchom Leikai by leaving his bicycle behind, the sources said.
