A minor boy of Manipur Mahila Kalyan Samiti (Children Home Complex) in Kabo Leikai under the jurisdiction of Imphal Police Station who was warming up for Yoga died after he fell unconscious and was taken to Raj Medicity on Friday.
The deceased is Naorem Nikhil(13) son of (L) Ibomcha of Yaingangpokpi Awang Leikai, he came to the home on February 5, 2024 and was in class 7 at Khunthoknganbi Upper Primary School. He collapsed while warming up for Yoga at around 6.30 am and it was his usual. He was rushed to Raj medicity but could not be saved and died at around 7.30 am.
According to the members of the home, they did not see any health conditions on Nikhil who has been in the home for more than a month and a postmortem has been conducted on the body at RIMS mortuary to know the cause of his death.
Imphal PS registered a UD case and video coverage was also done of the postmortem after a magistrate carried out an inquest. Body has been taken back to his hometown.
