Mental health awareness programme in schools are being planned in the Lilong area, according to the Thoubal district administration.
Thoubal deputy commissioners Ahanthem Subash Singh, speaking as chief guest at the observation of World Mental Health Day 2022 in Thoubal, mentioned the mental health awareness plan.
A programme on World Mental Health Day 2022 was organised by the District Mental Health Programme, District Health Society Thoubal Community Health Centre, Haoreibi Makha Leikai, Thoubal on Monday.
District Mental Health Programme nodal officer Jina Heigrujam spoke on the theme ‘Make mental health a global priority’. Other speakers of the programme spoke on the importance of maintaining a good mental health and urged the authorities concerned to organise various mental health awareness programmes at the community level.
The event was also attended by Thoubal Chief Medical Officer Y Nokul Singh as the president, along with National Mental Health Programme, NHM Manipur state nodal officer A Ranjita Devi, CHC Haoreibi Makha Leikai senior MO in charge Rakibuddin Ahamad Shah and Mahmood English High School principal Alhaj Moulana Anwaruddin as guests of honour.
