After a gap of two years due to the COVID-19 outbreak, a Mega State-Level Ex-Servicemen (ESM) Rally will be held at Koirengei in Imphal East on March 6, sources said.
The ESM rally, organised by the Red Shield Division of the Indian Army under the aegis of Spear Corps, is aimed to honour the sacrifices and address the grievances of Indian Army veterans, Veer Naris and widows of service personnel from Manipur, a release stated.
Relevant functionaries from PCDA/records offices will be set up for facilitating the on-the-spot resolution of the grievances of the ex-servicemen.
Representatives and on-site outlets of CSD; ECHS Polyclinics; SBI, Axis and HDFC banks; SPARSH, Skill Development and Social Welfare department, the government of Manipur; RSB and ZSB; Army Postal Service and Army Recruiting office will also be incorporated, it stated.
“A special medical camp with specialists from various disciplines is also planned as a part of the mega event. Welfare and ESM community interaction-based activities, including a cultural event and community lunch will be held,” it read.
A large number of ESM from across the state are expected to attend the event and interact with military and civilian dignitaries from the state, it added.
