Manipur Skill Labour Employment and Entrepreneurship Minister Heikham Dingo has assured to bring developmental change in the infrastructure and others for employment exchange office, which is one of the most important offices to provide information and jobs for job seekers of Manipur.
Dingo was speaking during the inaugural ceremony of the one day “Mega Job Fair, 2022” held at the office of the Directorate of Employment, Lamphelpat, Employment Exchange, Imphal West (Model Career Centre, Imphal West).
The programme was directed by the Employment Exchange, Lamphelpat, Imphal West in collaboration with the Directorate of General Employment, Government of India.
Dingo said the employment exchange office remained similar to the condition of the past decades. With the lack of staff, job seekers are not able to get satisfaction while getting information on job recruitment issued by various government departments.
Dingo assured that the matter will be consulted with Chief Minister N Biren Singh in order to bring better infrastructure and to fill up the vacancies in the employment exchange. He will also discuss with the CM to declare the pending result for various job recruitment at the earliest, he said.
“Youths are the pillar of the nation”, he said and appealed to the youths and job seekers to get information on government jobs which is relevant to their skill, talent and qualification.
Dingo further assured to bring a developmental change including infrastructure for the office in the next few years.
During the job fair, around 35 stalls were opened and a huge number of job seekers came to visit the stalls.
