MAYOL’s long march reaches Sagolmang

Day 11 of the march kicked off from Nongada Kameng Lampak in Imphal East and headed towards Sawombung passing through Lamlai and Pungdongbam.

Manipur Youth League’s (MAYOL) long march for national regeneration reached Sagolmang as it entered the 11th day.

Day 11 of the march kicked off from Nongada Kameng Lampak in Imphal East and headed towards Sawombung passing through Lamlai and Pungdongbam.

The volunteers conducted the first public meeting of the day 11 march at Sawombung High School along with the local residents.

Professor of Political Science department, IGNTU Homen Thangjam, Chairman of the Long March for National Regeneration  N Chetan, secretary general of Kanglei Ema Lup Memcha Leima, secretary general of Apunba Keithal Sinnai Lup Konthoujam Prabha among others also attended the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, Homen Thangjam emphasized the need for people in Manipur to acquaint themselves with the geopolitics of Manipur.

He maintained that geopolitics the entire conflict was a result of different geopolitical interests.
After the meeting at Sawombung, the MAYOL volunteers made their way towards Sagolmang.
The marchers passed through Loushangkhong, Sekta, Taretkhul, Lamboikhul, Uyumpok, Tiger Camp before reaching the final destination for Day 10 of the march.

The evening public meeting of the march was held at Sagolmang Community Hall in which Imphal Times editor Ringku Khumukcham and former UCM president Sunil Karam attended as resource persons.
