Speaking to the media at Manipur Press Club, Majorkhul, Imphal, Dara recalled that since May 3, 2023, many were killed while thousands remained homeless following the attack of Kuki Narco-terrorists towards Meitei community till date.

Many houses belonging to the Meitei community residing in Kuki dominated areas were burnt down and bull-dozed, he said. “Thousands of displaced people are still suffering at relief camps and prefabricated houses. In the present crisis the people of Manipur are suffering far more than the then ‘Seven Years Devastation’,” he added.

He stressed that the crisis resulted out of a pre-planned attack by Kuki Narco terrorists with an intention to wipe out the Meitei community, which has a history of more than 2,000 years.
