The High Court of Manipur has reserved its judgement on the challenge of Mark Haokip’s bail filed by the state government.
The bail order issued by the Special Judge (NIA) was challenged by the state government. However, the Special Judge (NIA) had ruled that the state government’s applications to set aside or modify bail of Mark Haokip was not maintainable.
As the state once again challenged the Special Judge’s order, the High Court of Manipur began hearing on Wednesday.
On Thursday, the High Court reserved its judgement.
Thereafter, the Home Department sent a letter to Inspector General of Police (prison) and SP, Manipur Central Jail, Sajiwa, to take necessary action to comply with the HC order, until the pronouncement of final order.
