According to her in-laws, Thoi had an argument with her husband on Thursday. Later, it was found that she had left the stove unattended and the meal was still boiling on the fire. As it became suspicious, her aunt searched her in the house until her body was allegedly found inside the toilet. She was still breathing when they found her and she was rushed to PHC Ningthoukhong, as per her in-laws.     

The said PHC referred her to District Hospital Bishnupur where they arrived at 6.30 pm, and the doctor declared her brought dead. Thoi is survived by her husband and a-year-old daughter.   

In connection with the incident, Bishnupur Police Station has registered a case. Her husband has been detained at the police station for questioning. The body has been handed over to the family members after conducting a post mortem at RIMS.
