Meira Paibis of Yairipok Keithel staged a sit-in protest condemning the death of 13 Meitei individuals who were killed by suspected Kuki militants near Leithao village in Tengnoupal district on Monday.

Protestors strongly condemned the incident and urged the government to work in reviving peace in the state. It appealed to the chief minister to stop shouting that peace has revived in the state after seeing the series of deaths during the ongoing violence.
Various placards and banners were displayed during the protest. Floral tributes were also paid to the 13 martyrs.
