Demanding to end the seven-month-long crisis in Manipur, Shiv Sena Manipur State Unit president M Tombi has submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and union home minister Amit Shah on Sunday through national president Shiv Sena Eknath Shinde.

In a voice note issued to media, Tombi said that two more students, namley Maibam Abinash and Ningthoujam Anthony are also missing while the state has been suffering and demanding for justice of Hijam Linthoingambi and Phijam Hemanjit.

Parents of the missing students have been demanding the government to trace their whereabouts but they are still missing till date, he added.

For the last seven months, the people of Manipur have been suffering and the government is unable to find out the whereabouts of the missing students, he added.

Due to the failure to control the Kuki militants who are under SoO, they are carrying out mass poppy cultivation in the state, he said. “While the Kuki militants have even killed the state forces and innocent farmers with sniper rifles, why is the central government unable to control them?” he questioned.

Shiv Sena Manipur Pradesh strongly condemned the failure of the government to control Kuki militants.

“The Central government suffers no losses from the present unrest in Manipur. What is the hidden agenda behind letting the turmoil continue for almost seven months,” he questioned.
