Amid the extension of internet shutdown in violence-hit Manipur, Security Advisor to Manipur, Kuldiep Singh, has proposed a plan for providing internet connectivity to a specific area for facilitating emergent official works.
The security advisor, along with ADGP Ashutosh Sinha, mentioned the proposed plan during a meeting with Governor Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhawan in Imphal on Tuesday over the prevailing situation in the state.
In the meeting, the security advisor briefed the Governor about the prevailing situation in the state and discussions on steps taken and proposed to restore normalcy in the state.

Manipur Governor Anusuiya Uikey also met with Chief Minister Nongthombam Biren at Raj Bhavan in Imphal on Tuesday, and advised the chief minister to make all efforts to restore peace and normalcy in the state.
During the meeting, the chief minister apprised the Governor of the prevailing situation in the state and discussed measures taken up to bring back normalcy in the state at the earliest, a release stated.
The chief minister also briefed the Governor about the relief and rehabilitation works for the affected people of the state. The two leaders also discussed problems related to movement of vehicles along national highways and deployment of security at vulnerable areas.
