One person of the Paite Community was shot dead by armed miscreants at Tuithapi near Khuga Tampak under Churachandpur Police Station around 7 am on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as one Lalkhanthang, 53, son of Thangkhansuan of Dorcas Road, New Lamka. He came on a black Pulsar motorcycle.
Reason of the killing remains unknown.

Churachandpur Police Station registered a case regarding the incident and the body has been kept at Churachandpur District Hospital mortuary.
