A ‘mass protest’ to be carried out by a joint organisation will be launched on Thursday at valley districts of Manipur with an objective for the safeguard and to restore culture and history of Manipur and under the theme, ‘Save Manipur, Save India’.
The mass protest is jointly organised by People’s Alliance for Peace and Progressive Manipur (PAPPM), Meitei Resurgence Forum, Sekmai Apunba Village Volunteer Force, Youth for Peace and Progress, Apunba Meitei Ima Lup.
PAPPM president Mayanglambam Bobby Meitei on Wednesday told the media at its office located at Singjamei Chingamathak, Imphal West that in addition to the mass protest the joint organisation will launched a booklet highlighting the pre-plan strategies of Kuki in the present crisis.
He appealed to the people of Manipur to participate in the mass protest in any form including human-chain protest, sit-in-protest and other democratic forms of protest. The protest is to be demonstrated from 2 pm to 3pm at their respective localities.
Bobby further said that during the protest the participants should raise different slogans including, ‘down down Kuki narco terrorists’, ‘save Manipur save India’, ‘go back double standard Assam Rifles’, ‘We want peace’ and others.
He appealed to all sections of people to support mass protest to safeguard Manipur.
