The Department of Sports, Manipur University has selected 22 women players to represent MU Hockey Team in the East Zone Inter University Hockey (W) Tournament 2023-24.
Among the 22, four are in the reserve list and in case of any absentee or withdrawal, they will make the replacement. The selected players are to assemble on November 15 to finalise the required formalities.
Those selected are Linthoi Y, K Puspa, Rk. Muktasana of SSGGC; Ch Rebika of Oriental College; K Chaoba, W Romita, K Pitu Sharma, Reena K, N Deena- all of TSPMWC; Rk Laksana of Modern College; L Manshi, S Nargis, K Pushpa, M Basko of MU; M Priyanka, Sh Monalisa of NGC; Meitgeileima N of Manipur College and Rk Nitasana of Modern College.
The four players in the reserve lists are Ng Ranjita, L Thoithoi, H Davani and H Diana of NGC.
The Department of Sports MU has also announced a 22-member Men's Hockey squad and an 18-member Men's Kabadi team for the Inter University Tournament as well.
