Manipur: UJYL, JDO condemn 21-year-old’s death

Lifeless body of Seigoulen Singson was found floating at Jiri River near Moulzawl village, Jiribam on Friday.

United Jiri Youth League (UJYL) and Jiri Development Organisation (JDO) on Saturday condemned the mysterious death of 21-year-old Seigoulen Singson, alias Bosco Singson, son of Soikholet Singson from Pahitol, Tousem subdivision in Tamenglong district.

JDO president E Dewan Singh and UJYL general secretary Chinglemba Khuman, in a joint release narrated the incident, stating that the lifeless body of Seigoulen Singson was found floating at Jiri River near Moulzawl village, Jiribam on Friday.

It mentioned that he had been reportedly missing since 8 pm of Tuesday, following which CSOs, clubs and the locals have been carrying out searches to locate him.

It urged the authorities concerned to book the culprits involved and take necessary legal actions against them.

It fervently appealed to all the communities residing in Jiribam to not let the incident disrupt the existing peace and communal harmony in the district.
