Manipur: Two die in road mishap

Two persons died and one seriously injured following a road mishap over the last two days in Manipur.

At least two persons died and one seriously injured following a road mishap over the last two days.

On Saturday, one person died and another one was seriously injured when the Bajaj Avenger, bearing registration number MN01AH/0095, they were riding hit the iron gate at Nambol City Bus Parking.

The deceased is a 24-year-old Luminthang Haokip, son of Demsei Haokip, a football player of Sagolband United, and the injured is 20-year-old Lunminlal Kipgen; both are from Gamnom Sapermeina Village. The injured is undergoing treatment at RIMS ICU.

Nambol Police registered a case and then handed over the body to the family after conducting a post mortem at RIMS mortuary.

In another road mishap, a 74-year-old woman died on the spot after being hit by a Verna Car at Singjamei Chingamakha Liwa road under the jurisdiction of Singjamei Police station on Saturday.

The deceased is Waikhom Bino, wife of W. Ibotombi from Chingamakha Liwa road.

Singjamei Police station registered a case and later handed over the body to the family of the deceased after conducting post mortem at RIMS mortuary.
