Speaking to the media at Manipur Press Club, Imphal, the activist demanded the state and central authorities to restore peace in Manipur and called upon the Prime Minister to give his final verdict on the Manipur conflict.

“We had announced to hold the fast at the residential gate of those in power but could not do so as the Model Code of Conduct had been implemented. Therefore, we have submitted our demands to several MLAs and ministers,” the activist said.

Malem stated that he along with his supporters tried to submit the same demands to state BJP president Adhikarimayum Sarda on Sunday but were stopped by the police.
