The first round of training of all drafted presiding officers and polling officer I, II & III for poll duty in respect of Kakching district for the ensuing general election to Lok Sabha, 2024 was successfully conducted at Training hall at DC office building (New Block) DC office complex, Kakching on Wednesday.
The training was conducted in two sessions; for batch 1 and 2 and batch 3 and 4 respectively. During the training, T Milikan Singh SDO,Waikhong/ARO, O Poreingamba Khumancha, SDC Waikhong/AERO, M Ingocha Singh SDO,Kakching/ARO and Hijam George SDC, Kakching/AERO were the resource persons.
During the training, the resource person focused on effective handling of EVM and VVPAT machines, conduct of Mock Poll, duties of presiding officers and polling officers. The training also included demonstration on setting up of polling stations, voting compartments for voting among others.
District election officer of Kakching Rohit Anand, accompanied by various district election officials shared a few words of encouragement to the trainees while inspecting the training session.
