Meira Paibis carried out mass torch rallies urging the authorities concerned to withdraw their decision to apprehend Arambai Tengol members at different areas of Thoubal and Kakching district on Thursday night.
Wangning-Lamding Apunba Meira Paibi lup carried out a torch rally and chanted various slogans. The rally which initiated from Lamding EEO ground went towards the national highway, went through Wangjing Lamding Keithel which went till Tentha Lamkhai and gathered at Heirok lamkhai and chanted slogans.
It may be mentioned that inmates of relief centres opened at Lamding Higher Secondary school amasung Wangjing Kodompokpi Sports Complex also took part in the protest rally.
Langthabal Khunou Apunba Meira Paibi Lup also carried out a torch rally demanding the same around Langthabal Khunou area. Meira Paibis also formed a human chain after a torch rally at Lamjao, Kakching district and chanted various slogans.
