A three-day sales event of the internally displaced persons (IDPs) was inaugurated on Wednesday at Iboyaima Shumang Leela Shanglen in Imphal East.
The event was organised by Manipur State Rural Livelihood Mission (MSRLM) under the department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj.
The event is being organised to conceive upon the idea of building up a platform and provide an opportunity for the IDPs across the state, to showcase and sell their products.
The sales event consists of 50 stalls and is participated by IDPs from 83 different relief camps across the state.
It is said that there will be an interaction programme for IDPs with bankers, entrepreneurs and other government departments on Thursday and Friday.
MSRLM appealed to all the people across the state to visit the sales meet to support the IDPs.
