Thousands of people took out a peace torch rally on ‘anti-drugs and anti-narco terrorism at Wangjing, Thoubal district on Thursday night.
Wangjing Gram Panchayat Apunba Club Organisation (WANGGPACO) a conglomerate of seven clubs WHUPU, CKC, FUC, PIONEER, ESWYC, UPSC and YDO under the jurisdiction of Wangjing Gram Panchayat organised the rally.
The rally which started from Wangjing Lakpa Iningthou Laipung in Wangjing Hodamba Canteen ground at 7pm went around Wangjing and concluded at the initiating point.
WANGGPACO treasurer Laishram Manichandra Khuman said that the rally is being organised in the aim to stand against narco terrorists in the state and to save the youths from drug abuse.
He also appreciated the elderly women and youths who took part in the rally. Various placards were also displayed during the rally.
