Tamenglong police on Wednesday destroyed the liquors seized from different locations as part of precautionary measures for Lok Sabha Election and enforcement of Election Model Code of conduct.

Briefing about the seizure of liquors, Tamenglong police office in charge L Simon said that the Tamenglong police at Tamenglong police station and and Kaimai outpost had detected and seized 1,087 litre of Local DIC liquors and 213 bottles of foreign-made liquor amounting to be approximately Rs 270,650 of market value.

The disposal of seized liquors was done in the presence of CSOs, including joint tribe council women wing, Excise Department Tamenglong, media persons along with Tamenglong PS OC team inside the campus of Tamenglong police station.
