Those six are identified as Mayengbam Binod Singh, Leitanthem Naoba Meitei, RK Sanjoy, Rajkumar Rody Singh, Wangmayum Sanathoi, and Sunir Phundreimayum, all hailing from Imphal East, were remanded to judicial custody for 15 days by the Special Judge (NIA), Imphal.

This decision came following a plea by the special public prosecutor, citing allegations of their involvement in looting arms and ammunition from the 5th IRB located at Chingarel, Tejpur on February 13. They were charged under 16 UA(P) Act.

All accused filed separate bail applications through their counsel, vehemently denying their involvement and seeking release from judicial custody.

The court stated that no materials were found to show participation of the so-called unlawful assembly resulting from looting arms and ammunition from the armory of 5th IRB, Chingarel Tejpur. The court does not find reasonable grounds for believing that all accused are accused of offence under chapter 6 of UA(P) Act, and hence they are reliable to release on bail.
