President Shiv Sena Manipur State Unit M Tombi Singh on Thursday expressed his appreciation to Manipur governor Anusuiya Uikey for inspecting border pillar 78, 79, 80 during her visit at Moreh on Wednesday.
Tombi told the media at its state party head office located at Babupara, Imphal on Thursday that the border issue has been continuing for decades and the personal visit of the governor might help end the issue.
He mentioned that under the initiatives of the present government, the road connectivity of Indo-Myanmar road has been well developed. However, many small traders are still suffering due to temporary shut down of border trade, he said. He appealed to the government to take necessary steps to resume the border trade at the earliest.
Chairman of Bazaar community Manmeet Singh Arora; vice chairman Bazaar community Mahendra Jain; Shobha Devi Jain; Irom Shyam and Ksh Ongbi Mangitombi Devi were felicitated at state party office as new members and office bearers.
President state Shiv Sena, Assam, Pravindra Singh Manchanda also participated in the conference.
