In a tragic incident, at least 20 students are feared dead after a bus carrying the students met with an accident at Longsai Tubung village, Khoupum subdivision, in Noney district, Manipur on Wednesday afternoon, sources said.

The accident happened along the Old Cachar road.
As per the sources, the ill-fated bus was carrying the students of Thambalnu Higher Secondary School, Yairipok Top Chingtha, Imphal East, who were on their way to Khoupum for an Annual Study Tour programme.
Five students died on the spot while two students succumbed to their injuries on the way to hospital, the sources added.
