Several power lines were affected by the heavy hailstorm that hit Manipur on Sunday, causing power blackout and outages at various locations.
While power authorities took swift action and restored power amid the storm, some of the power lines remain affected as many poles were reported to have fallen due to the strongs winds accompanied by the hailstorm, as per sources.
The power lines which remained are 33 kV PG-Sangaiprou-Airport line, 33 kV Mongshangei-Hiyangthang, 33 kV Mongshangei-Kakwa, 33 kV Yurembam-Mayang Imphal, 33 kV Mayang Imphal-Iram Siphai, 33 kV Ningthoukhong-Moirang, 33 kV Ningthoukhong-Khwairakpam, 33 kV Khwairakpam-Utlou, and 33 kV Utlou-Leimapokpam, sources said.
Rectification work for the said lines will not be able to complete on Sunday, as per the source.
