Violence erupted at 6/32 Phunal Maring polling station in Keirao Assembly constituency of Manipur Assembly Elections 2022 where the first phase polling for the Manipur Assembly elections 2022 was underway on Monday, sources said.

 

The incident took place around 9.10 am at Phunal Maring Junior High School 6/32 polling station of Keirao assembly constituency, police said, adding an FIR has been lodged at Irilbung police station under section 171-F/427/34 IPC and 27 Arms Act for election offence and damage to properties by using arms.

Police have taken up the case for investigation.
