Thanga MLA T Robindro on Wednesday addressed the alleged misconceptions surrounding the BJP government that have been propagated by certain vested interests.
He was speaking during an interaction programme held at Thangalawai Community Hall as a part of intensified grassroots efforts at boot level, following a 10-day brainstorming session held across the Thanga AC at GP level.
The MLA pointed out that the root causes of the ongoing external aggression is due to the action by the government against the illegal immigrants and measures to curb drug menace by launching war on drugs.
Highlighting past instances of implementing ILP in Manipur, the recent exemption of FMR, carrying out border fencing works and the steps of screening illegal immigrants to implement NRC, he said these are proof that the government is pro-people.
However, it is unfortunate that some vested interest groups are defaming the BJP government by misinforming the public on the present crisis, he added.
It was also witnessed that the people present in the meet opted minister Basanta Kumar, the BJP’s candidate for Inner Manipur as the deserving candidate in terms of experience and dedication.
The programme also witnessed the presence of general secretary of BJP, Bishnupur Iboyaima Heisnam among others.
