Manipur: Miscreants loot money at gunpoint

As per a complaint filed by the victim at Kakching police station, he was stopped by a white colour bolero without a registration number along Chandel road at KCC company Leirungtabi.

Armed miscreants physically assaulted and looted a sum of Rs 1,70,000 at gunpoint from an individual along Lambung, Chandel on Monday at around 5.50 pm.

The victim is one Nongmaithem Arjun, 23, son of Ramprasad of Kakching Lauthagol leikai Thong Anouba pareng.

As per a complaint filed by the victim at Kakching police station, he was stopped by a white colour bolero without a registration number along Chandel road at KCC company Leirungtabi when he was on his way to Chandel Lambung on his white colour Tata Magic bearing registration number MN01S 9480.

The reports added that around eight armed miscreants who came on the bolero forced him down from his vehicle and physically assaulted him without a valid reason.

They also looted his money he was carrying for his business and warned him not to tell anyone about the incident or his life will be at stake, it stated.
