A man was killed in a road mishap at Lamboi Khongnangkhong under the jurisdiction of Lamphel police station in Imphal West district on Thursday morning around 5.30 am.
The deceased is Laishram Dineshchandra (46), son of L Surendro of Naoremthong Laishram Leirak. He was hit by a speeding Suzuki Ciaz car bearing registration number MN01S-8381 when he was trying to take a right turn on his Activa bearing registration number MN01L-6535.
Dineshchandra died on the spot and his Activa was destroyed into pieces.
Reports said that the car also lost control, flipped and hit a shed on the roadside; there were three of them in the car.
Lamphel Police Station has registered a case on the mishap and a post-mortem was conducted on the body at RIMS mortuary.
