A team of CDO Imphal West arrested a person in possession with heroine no. 4 powder while conducting frisking and checking at Singjamei Traffic Point on Friday at around 5.30 pm.
The arrested person is Md Ziaul Haque (34), son Md Abdul Haque of Haoreibi Makha Leikai, Lilong, Thoubal district.
As per the police, Md. Ziaul Haque who came in a brown-colour Maruti Suzuki S-Cross car, B/Reg. No AS01 BU6939 from the Kakwa side was stopped for checking by the team. While checking the car, one blue soap case, wrapped with a transparent plastic packet suspected to be containing No. 4 powder was found inside the lower dashboard of the car on the front passenger side.
The arrested person and seized articles were handed over to Singjamei Police station.
