Banner Lanamai James from Senapati district, Manipur, who belongs to the Poumai Naga community in Manipur, has been chosen to represent India at the Mister Heritage International 2023 competition.
The competition will take place in the Perla of the Orient Seas, the Philippines from April 23 to 29, 2023 at Manila, Philippines.
It may be mentioned that Banner Lanamai James from Manipur won the prestigious Rubaru Mr India 2022 title at the recently concluded Rubaru Mr India championship.
Rubaru Mr. India is India’s biggest and oldest running pageant for men. The contest was established in 2004.
James was honored with this title at the national finale of the event that took place on October 5, 2022 at the hotel, Crowne Plaza Chennai Adyar Park in Tamil Nadu.
James was also conferred with the Best National Costume Award for his traditional costume that he displayed during the national costume segment of the competition.
