Manipur CAF and PD Minister L Susindro claimed that the then Congress government signed Suspension of Operation (SoO) with Kuki militants to wipe out Meitei from Manipur thus sowing the seed of the present crisis too.

Susindro told the media at his residence located at Khurai Tinsid Road on Wednesday that in 2005 a SoO agreement was signed between Assam Rifles and Kuki militants.

The then government converted the agreement into a tripartite agreement in 2008 by including a point not to disintegrate the territorial boundary of Manipur.

Signing of SoO is a peace process and the increasing number of groups from 15 to 25 during the BJP government was done as a party of peace process with the indigenous people. There is no problem if the agreement is signed with 50 groups also, said minister Susindro.

Susindro also alleged that the Congress government hired a former MP of Myanmar, Thanglianpao Guite, and converted the bipartite agreement into tripartite with an intention to wipe out Meitei from Manipur after disintegration.
