Manipur Governor La Ganesan visits Sangai Ehtnic park at Moirangkhunou

Sangai Ethnic Park at Moirangkhunou in Bishnupur district is the main venue of the ongoing Manipur Sangai Festival

Manipur Governor La Ganesan visited the main venue of the ongoing Manipur Sangai Festival - the Sangai Ethnic Park at Moirangkhunou in Bishnupur district on Friday evening. He visited all the ethnic huts in the park and interacted with different ethnic communities.

Interacting with the people, the governor said, "Although we have different religions, culture, traditions and customs we are all one".

He said, this ethnic park is indeed a nice place where we can see almost all the traditions and customs of different communities living in the State. Through this festival we can enjoy unity in diversity and oneness amongst ourselves.

After the interaction, talking to newsmen, the governor said, the arrangement put in place in the park is immense and people can see the beautiful culture and traditions of different communities in the State.

He said, "Visiting the ethnic park, especially the ethnic huts will help to understand the beautiful cultures of different tribes and communities in the state".

The governor also lauded the efforts made by the chief minister and his Council of Ministers to make the Manipur Sangai Festival – a grand success.

On his arrival at the park, the governor was accorded a warm welcome by Works Minister Govindas Konthoujam, Water Resources Minister Awangbou Newmai, MLAs T Robindro, K Leishiyo and Chinlunthang, and PK Jha, Commissioner (Tourism).
