Manipur Governor, CM, others convey Eid-ul-Fitr greetings

The Governor, in her greetings, said that, preceded by month-long fasting period, ‘Ramadan’, the Holy festival not only spreads the message of peace, brotherhood and universal love but also entreats mankind to perform deeds of positive value to enhance our souls.

Manipur Governor Anusuiya Uikey on Wednesday conveyed greetings to the people of Manipur especially the Muslim brethren on the auspicious and joyous occasion of Id-ul-Fitr.

The Governor, in her greetings, said that, preceded by month-long fasting period, ‘Ramadan’, the Holy festival not only spreads the message of peace, brotherhood and universal love but also entreats mankind to perform deeds of positive value to enhance our souls.

Chief Minister N Biren Singh also greeted the people of the State on the joyous occasion of Id-ul-Fitr stating that the festival marks the end of Ramzan, the Islamic Holy month of fasting. He stated that the festival creates an atmosphere where one is encouraged and supported to become a better person.

AHUD Minister Yumnam Khemchand also extended Id-ul-Fitr wishes to the followers of Islam across the world especially the Manipuri Muslim brethren and wished that the festival ushers in peace, progress, happiness and prosperity in the state.

MLA of Kshetrigao Assembly Constituency, Sheikh Noorul Hassan, also sent Eid-ul-Fitr wishes to the people and all who have faithfully observed Ramadhan, both in their personal devotion and within the broader community.

Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) also greeted the people of the State especially the Muslim brethren on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr festival.

MPCC President, K Meghachandra, in a message, emphasized the significance of the holy month of Ramadan and further prayed that the festival brings herald peace, happiness and prosperity in the State.
