As such, the state government has decided to set up a multi-model logistic hub. Moreover, the state has also started identifying places that can be developed as trade hubs, the minister said.

He said that the present government is giving prime focus to the MSME sector as the state can earn huge foreign money from this sector. The state would also prosper more if more people who have innovative ideas come up and untapped the resources of the state, he added.

The state is bestowed with rich natural resources and instead of setting up big industries that require huge investment, the state can generate income by using all such natural resources like flora and fauna sustainably, the minister said.

He explained that the state government had set up many institutions with the mission to bring development. But the government didn’t take proper responsibility to look after its functioning from time to time, he added.

Many entrepreneurs had started new ventures in the state by producing new items, etc. But they hardly analyse the quality of the desire of customers and quality of the products, he added.

Other dignitaries who attended the function were chairman and managing director of Thangjam Agro Industries Pvt Ltd., Th Joykumar Singh; president of Manipur Peoples’ Front, Guwahati, Yengkhom Upendra and president of Meitei Council Moreh Th Thoiba Singh as guests of honour.
