Manipur: Four injured in Ukhrul bomb blast

Four civilians, including a doctor, were injured in a bomb blast that took place at Gandhi Chowk in Manipur's Ukhrul district on the eve of Republic Day 2023.

At least four civilians, including a doctor, were injured in a bomb blast at opposite Ukhrul Town Hall at around 5 pm on the eve of Republic Day, according to official sources.

The blast took place at Gandhi Chowk which lies one and half km east of Ukhrul Police station.

The four injured are Dr Wonyao Kasar, 35,  of Phungyar; Manao, 60, of Chingai; Angayung Rizat, 39, of Phungyar; and P Leishingam, 37, of Harkuikathe.

Reports further said, the injured were evacuated to Ukhrul District Hospital but declared out of danger.

Ukhrul Police have filed an FIR in this regard.
