A Meitei organisation in Europe extended a financial assistance of Rs 20,000 to Ningthoujam Prem, 28 son of Kartik of Heirok who sustained bullet injuries on his leg.

Member of the organisation Okram Bishorjit of Thoubal Ningombam on behalf of the organisation handed over the donation money to Prem at his residence in Heirok part III Keithel Mamang. The organisation made the donation to help Prem in his treatment.

It may be mentioned that Prem was hit by a bullet on his leg while trying to defend the Meiteis in Pallel from the attacks carried by Chin-Kuki Narco terrorists on September 8, 2023. Prem and several others were injured, while two people died in the incident when the Central forces allegedly started firing gunshots.

Prem got his further treatment in AIIMS, Delhi after his condition became critical, after being treated at RIMS.
